San Jose House

Our house in San Jose - the new front is now stone & the house has been painted this blue-ish shade. Not much else is different, I have a few more shots from when we continued around the corner! This was taken last April when we went out to CA for our BabyMoon - my first visit back to CA since 97 (!) and my first visit back to the house since my parent's left in 93!

Holy cow, you know how things seem different in your memory? Now granted, I know the color is different but still I just envisioned this house a whole different way! BTW, not to into that color. Seems sort of washed out but that is just me.

I also did not realize how soon after you finished HS that your parents left. It seemed longer!

OMG, I forgot about the finger. I just remember the freaky accidents that you would tell us about and there always seemed to be people driving WAY to fast around that corner - oh wait that was me driving that fast!

My brother told me I "wouldn't recognize it" but please...how could you not recognize something situated on THAT curve? Silly, boy. Yeah, my parents actually LEFT the state while I was studying in Paris - I came home to a new house in a new state never to return to San Jose again except to live with my sister (over by lake almaden) for summers. It was OH SO much fun to back out of that driveway - it was like "hurry up! just go!"

:)

P.S. My mom says the library is ugly and when I said "state of the art" she said, "yeah ugly"!

hehe, I think those were my mother's words as well - that the new library is ugly. I loved those old quaint 60-70s libraries in SJ (I have memories at two of them - the one in Almaden and the one by our 1st house off of Pearl Ave.) I am sure they have all changed and I am not sure I would want to see them as new because I like my memories of the old places better!

OMG, and that driveway would have driven me bonkers! The freaky curve, the steep hill, the 'I cannot see the insane teenage driver coming around the corner doing 50'! The drive way in the house we just sold was super steep and it drove Kevin & I batty. BTW how many times did you all bottom out on that thing, anyway?!?!?
