I've crossed The Line

Last night while enjoying a glass of wine outside on my lovely deck, with my lovely husband I said something I would have BET money on that I never, ever would have thought to cross my lips.

"I just cannot get over how fabulous my begonias are looking"

And then the minivan side door slide open, three women wearing sweater sets with pearls, leaped out in their sensible shoes & fabulous Mom Cut hair and handed me my Officially Suburanized Membership Card & invited me to a play date.

(but seriously, the begonias look FABULOUS!)

Hitchhikers

Sunflower!

Baby Tomato! [does anyone else think of a joke in a movie when they hear/say "baby tomato"?]

See how my garden grows

After being away from my hitch-hiking sunflowers & my adopted baby tomatoes for 5 days, I'm proud & glad to announce that the hitch-hikers have bloomed and the tomatoes have sprouted!!

How exciting!!

I've grown things! And they haven't died!

I'm also very pleased with myself that I remembered to ask the Babysitter (for the furry ones) to water the plants for us :)

I'll take pictures soon of my new sunflowers and my lone tomato growing on its vine.

Please note!

Our tomato plant is FLOWERING!

YAY! It's healthy, growing & now flowering :)

Green Thumb!

So far I have not killed anything ESPECIALLY our new TOMATO plants!!

The petunias are doing the best - as well as the hitchhiking Sunflowers (due to the bird feeder) getting a free ride in my pots and being watered subsequently. [wow that was a big word this early in the morning!]

Sorry the one of the tomatoes is so fuzzy...

Flowers!

My biggest pot with some flowers I cannot remember the name of & Petunias!

My flower box with the same cannot remember name flowers & Begonias! These are the ones who committed Mass Suicide...

Another larger pot with only 3 of the cannot remember names of flowers in it - I think I'm going to get some more little guys to put in there!

My mom also got me GARDENING GLOVES for Mother's Day ;) She's also bringing us 3 tiny little tomato plants when they visit in two weeks for Huey & Tony Bennett!

I got a lovely pink geranium for the front to go with the red one - it was only $5 at the Farmer's Market! I want to transfer those into nicer, bigger containers & get them out of the store ones they came in...

We also have sunflower seeds to plant for Liam & I maybe have to replant the Mass Suiciders since I don't think I replanted them with enough soil.
